reflections on our latest project - calicraft shadelands now open!

Last night we had the pleasure of attending the opening of our latest project come to life.

Calicraft’s new beer garden and urban playground in Walnut Creek, Shadelands, has been a project  years in the making. The challenges of a global pandemic, supply chain issues and navigating the permitting and building for a complex site has come to a close for us in the best possible way.

In the time the unit was under our roof, our management, design team, builders and contractors put their hearts into creating a fine “bloc” as we always do. The craftsmanship and details shine. On site, the contracting team created a beautiful garden environment for it to reside and prosper.

In addition, our fantastic clients at Calicraft, Blaine, Thomas and the crew, placed their trust in us over this long period. We have been honored to work alongside such a professional and thoughtful partner. Thank you so, so very much.

We always maintain that the most important aspect of our projects is not the units themselves, but creating a social environment that can sustain and strengthen the community. This is truly the work on show last night. The hundreds of people who showed up for the ribbon cutting, the great food and beverages under a perfect California evening sky is a testament to that.
